Dateline: "Portland" Ruling from Oregon Newspaper

Portland, Oregon (AP) -A seven year old boy was at the center of a
Portland courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over
who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by
his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in
keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family
unity be maintained to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more
than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge
suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they
also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and
learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them,
the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him After two recesses to check legal references
and
confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody
to
the Portland Trailblazers, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of
beating anyone.

After years of being a loyal fan of basketball and the Blazers I gave up years ago around the time the players went on strike.
I now have given up on baseball and don`t watch much football either.

I sick and tired of the over paid bas**rds pissing and moaning and throwing temper tantrums on and off the court !!
The Blazers owner, Paul Allen is one of the riches men on earth and now wants public money to bail out his team for the financial mess he created !!!:cuss

It`s funny that in sports be it NBA, NFL, MLB, you can own a team over pay the employees (players) to the point that you loose money then go to the cities where you play and ask them to bail you out !!!

I`ve had enough,,, won`t watch them or support them with my hard earned dollars anymore.
I figure if they are loosing money, they the owners, can cut the pay to their employees (players) to the point that they can either break even or make a profit.

Can you imagine if we could get away with this in private business???:D

I think I`ll give myself a raise today !!! hummmm 3.5 mill a year sounds good !!:rofl ,,dq

dq, You dont need a raise. Finding a set of 690s that you didnt even know you had? You shouldnt be in a bad mood about anything, except maybe fuel prices, we are all in a bad mood about that subject. You are right about cry-baby millionaire sports figures. Motorsports is the only good entertainment left.
