Okay I just realized the gas line on my original 6 cylinder car is not going to where the new V8 fuel pump will be, what do you guys do? Run hose, get a new line? Let me know.
Thanks

You can buy the pre bent factory type fuel lines with teh clips from any of the Restro venders. They usually come is three pieces but can order only the one you need.. You probably just need the last piece from the center piece to the fuel pump. Use a hard line from the pump to the carb. No rubber on the pressure side..

The 6 cylinder and low hp 283 came with a 5/16 line and was one piece. I ran this on a 300 hp 327 with a 600 edie for a few years and didn't have any problems. Don't know about a 409 though?? Hardest part to install on the
3/8" line is the front section. You have to remove the upper pass a arm to get it in there.

I think all 409's had 3/8" fuel line and a 1/4" return to the tank sender. At least all the 409 cars I 've had were like that. You will also need a radiator and fan shroud.
