Yesterday (Sunday) I was watching the Powerblock on SpikeTV (the car shows) and the announcer girl was answering viewer mail about parts for 409s. She said Edelbrock is coming out with EFI for these motors. I didn't see anything on their website. Anyone know anything about this? Anyway, I'm not getting rid of my Algon FI any time soon!!!!

I saw that as well. Who ever prepared the answer doesn't know what a 409 is:bang . The Edelbrock part number they gave was for a BBC.

I saw that as well. Anyone remember who the girl is? She's Courteny Hansen, the one "released from employ" from Overhaulin'. Not really the brightest bulb on TV.

Yes, yet another non-recognition of what does and doesn't fit W engines. I don't fault her, nor Spike TV, they just got the info from DeadBroke and aired it.

Most people nowadays don't consider a "409" to be an early Chevrolet engine, but an over-bored 400 small block.

I was just going to post that it would be cool for them to do that but would hold my breath,,, then read the responses!!!:rofl

You would think that anyone who had anything to do with cars would know about the infamous "W" block 409`s !!!!:dunno

Be sides having the "best" known rock and roll song about cars there is also the legend!!!!:takethat ,,dq

The little old lady from Pasedena had a 409 in her lil' Deuce coupe? I hope she didn't wreck it at Dead Man's Curve.

My Pontiac Hilborn has some pretty small buterflies and I don't think it will support the motor I was planning on using it, killed the airflow.
