I have a '59 348 4bbl and a Weind 6x2 intake and thinking about dropping it in the place of the 283/4bbl in my '59 Chev. I wanted to get people's opinion about running 2x4s or 6x2s. -Mike

You can't go wrong with the 6x2 for eye appeal, but for driveability it will really come down to how comfortable you are with tuning the carbs. Getting 6 2-barrels dialed in may be a bit more challenging than 2 4-barrels. Another option is to use the 6x2 manifold with the EFI throttle bodies from Mooneyes.:brow

The 2x4 will be easier to tune, by far. If you'd rather have the 6x2's, you might consider blocking off the two inner carbs and just running on the outer four, instead. It'd be a bit easier to tune that way and still have ample power. Similarly, you could also block of the outer 4 and run off the middle two.
