View Full Version : Oil pan gasket

I'm getting ready to put the oil pan on and am thinking of trying this permatex "make a gasket" silicone. This stuff is supposedly is used in OEM applications on many engine parts that do not come into contact with gasoline. I've always used the felpro one piece gasket on my small blocks and never had any leaks. Unfortunately, their not available for the 409. What are you guys using? Thanks Mac

I have never really trusted the squeeze tube gaskets. Maybe I am just too old for this new stuff. I used this
