All,

I believe that at least part of the noise that sounds like valve rattle is the thin walled shorty headers I have. They are supposed to be designed like the cast iron High HP manifolds but all they do is make noise.:bang I would like to change to the stock cast exhaust manifolds, don't need the HP type, just need 2 1/2" outlets. I've watched EvelBay for awhile now and haven't found what I need. Can anyone point me in the right direction to locate some ???:dunno :dunno

DQ,

Nothing wrong with the sound of GOOD Headers.... But these make it sound like an old John Deer Tractor... But maybe if I get the rest of the stuff fixed that's giving me greif, I won't need to change them !!!! :bang

Have you figured out what your noise is ???? :dunno

Nuts, you might wait and change over to full synthetic oil after your 2000 mile breaking. I've done this and it did quiet things done abit. FYI, I'm using scorpion roller rockers from show cars, and they are very quiet. Cast iron stock manifolds. Have you re-adjusted the rockers recently, cold or running??? Mac
