I'm not sure about the "correctness" of the redline tire for these cars. It looks really good though. Anyone have the scoop on this?

The first red line or red stripe tire I can remember was the Uniroyal Tiger Paw which was standard equipment on the 1964 Pontiac GTO. There may have been others before that ?? I could be wrong but I believe the first Chevrolet that came from the factory with red line tires was the 1966 Chevelle SS 396. I believe the first full size Chevrolet that came from the factory with red line tires was the 1967 Impala SS 427. The wheels on the '62 car that is for sale are Chevrolet Rally Wheels which didn't come out until 1967. The Rally wheels were standard on 1967 Chevrolets that had optional front disc brakes. The center caps on the wheels are the 1967 style. 1968 and later rally wheels had the cone style cap. The 1967 flat center cap is the most popular/favorite style.
