NEED SOME INPUT? I HAVE A 65 IMPALA SS WITH A 283 IT CAME WITH A ROCHESTER 2 BBL. I JUST PURCHASED A 4 BARREL INTAKE CAST #3783244 Chevy 327 / 250 HP. IT WILL ACCEPT BOTH A ROCHESTER QJET OR A WCFB . WHICH WOULD GIVE ME BETTER PERFORMANCE AND RELIABLITY. COST IS NOT AN ISSUE, ALSO THE CAR DOES HAVE DUAL EXHAUST.

Personally, I would run an Edelbrock Q-jet. Off the shelf GM Q-jets are very application specific and require knowledge to tune. Edelbrock are performance calibrated and they sell tune parts like the AFB carbs.
