I have this problem with my `88 Astro van.
The oil pressure is holding around 60 # and will drop to only 50# on occasion after it is warmed up at idle.
Other then that it holds steady at 60#.
Any clues??? dq

Pump pressure relief bypass valve is probably stuck!

Mystery Oil or a little tranny fluid will loosen things up.

DQ, had same problem with a 77 odd fire V-6. You won't like this. The bearings had flaked apart and plugged galleys. It was a good excuse to slip a 400 pontiac in it. And a heck of a lot more fun too with the V-6 emblems. Just ask the guy with the 67 427 Vette what he thought when the trailer went by him about 120. :D
