Heads up for those wanting to see this movie.

I've been waiting for a chance to see this movie for years. I often hear of this as being a good car movie. Not too impressed with it's 1 star rating but I'll be checking it out.

The only down side is Speed channel shows more commercials than movie most times but what the heck, it won't cost me anything. :D

Hey Bob,
Hollywood Knights is a good car movie.
Kind of a cheesy comedy that has some nice cars in it.
It has the Project-X 57 chevy from the popular hot rodding magazine.
back when the car had a blown small block and no hood.

*(side note/question)
The Project-X 57 chevy had always belonged to Popular Hot Rodding.
Then just a few years ago Super Chevy re-did the car and claimed it as it's own. I know the magazines are sister publications, but why didn't they do the car in Popular Hot Rodding where it had been all along??

This movie is available on DVD. I picked up a copy at Suncoast Video. Lots of cool cars, early or 1st movie roles for several actors that later made it big, and some really funny bits. I bust a gut every time watching the pledges trying to make their way through Watts wearing nothing but white bed sheets:rofl

My favorite car movie. My copy is worn out so I will buy the DVD soon. For those who have not seen it, the comedy alone, is worth the time.

I watched Hollywood Knights last weekend on my DVD,every time I see the race
between the 57 Chevy and the Cobra,I have to shake my head and say no way :dunno .If that was a good running blown small block that Cobra would not stand a chance beating the 57 :dunno IMO.I do like 57's I might be a little one sided.

thanx Bob, i have never seen it!. taped it monday night and looking forward to it.

BTW: anybody know the name of the movie i saw only once? it was made in 1976 about high school pranks in 1970. and the star prankster had a 70SS454 chevelle. plenty of street racing. dont recall much else about it unfortunately.

Bob,could this be the movie your talking about :dunno Here's the story line

A Comedy about the conflicts which arise when a high school, about to be closed down, tries to raise money but when this doesn't work, in comes a high school rebel who races a chevelle for money (and his own ego); but then ends up helping out by earning money for it instead of himself all the while falling in love with a goody goody choir girl.
