62 Steering play

I seem to have quite a bit of play in my steering. All the front end components have been replaced. I thought I might try adjusting the box. Any suggestions? Also, anyone know what kind of lube goes in the box?

If it turns out your box is shot, PM me. I have a rebuilt manual steering box I'm not using.

Randy,I've seen 90w gear lube,or a lite grease used in manual gear box.To adjust the gear back off nut on the adjustment screw on top of the gear.Turn the screw clockwise about 1 turn,tighten lock nut and give it a try.
To make sure the play is coming from the gear,have someone rock the steering wheel and look at your inputshaft and pitman arm for any movement.
