Dave, did you know a Dave Ray that drove funny cars? He was active mostly back east, but was on the west coast in the winters. Early 70s. Drove for several owners, one being Jess Tyree. He crashed in the Gold Digger at Union Grove in about 75, I think. Drove for Mike Burkhart, too. He is from the Dallas area. He's in a wheel chair since the crash. I think you were in Southern CA during that time if I remember right. The same name just has always caught my eye. Was wondering, so thought I would ask.
