Some of you may all ready know about this, but I just found "Vintage Speed" yesterday. They have all the parts (kit) to convert 2GC carbs to a 3-2 barrel set up. Or if your base plates are worn out you can get thoes also. You can even get base plates in CNC alum. if you wish. A complete kit to convert 3 2GCs to 3 X 2s with linage is $399.00. I was looking because my origional base plates are worn, am going to order some. vintage speed. com 1916 63RD CT Vero Beach, Fl 32966 (772) 778-0809

You can bush the bases, or you can buy aftermarket oversized throttle shafts from EELCO.
I used the EELCO shafts as they are the longer type suited to the progressive linkage. They also came with the linkage kit that for some reason wont align properly without some modification.
I'm happy with it as the price was only about $80 for the lot.... Cant find a link...Sorry......
I was able to find kits for my carbs for $6 each (a complete kit) along with the shafts and linkage, got a vintage speed fuel inlet from ebay for about $60 and then had my carbs re-colored locally (Australia) for about $200.........
Overall I'm very happy with the result......
Good luck with your rebuild....

I stumbled accross the part number for the linkage kit with the shafts. I found that the rods in the linkage were too short, but with some simple mods I got them to work.
Part number for the kit with oversized shafts is
CL32BRS
Pic attached.
Also a pic of the linkage modified. I replaced the small linkage on the end closest in the photo with a matching one with the slider tapped to suit the thread.
Very simple.
Cheers and good luck to anyone else wanting to build a 3x2........
I love the look.....
