View Full Version : Offy 2x4 for 348-
I'm thinking of changing direction slightly on carburation set-up for the stroker 348 . I was planning on running an old Weiand 4x2 but would like to get your opinions on the new Offenhauser 2x4 highrise . Any suggestions for carbs and has anybody got experience with the cross-ram adapter Offy produces to modify the 2x4? Running on the street in 2800# car.
Thanks,
Terry

I think the crossram adapters were made as a joke. 2X4 intake fits well.

I have a set of those Offy cross rams and don`t think they look too bad when installed.
Don`t know how well they would work though but my feeling is they would work great.
I don`t see where they would be any different then the Micky cross ram (other then the Micky being a better maniflod) in how they work only a bolt on design rather then a one piece casting.
Any old guys here ever use one,,,,dq:D

Carb extensions don't make cross rams or tunnel rams, just bigger plemum under the carb. Still has to go thru a two plane manifold. AFB carbs will be confused about the signal it is receiving from the engine.
