Well I run the 409 for the 1st time this morning and everything great except oil pan dripping dead center of rear rubber seal and no I didn't use silicone except were cork meets rubber. The pan is new and looked good when I put it on. Bolts are all tight so I'd really appreciate any advice short of pulling it apart again. Thanks, Paul

I guess I should have done a search 1st because at least I feel better now that I see alot of you have had this same issue. Still don't like doing it over

Paul, I assume you are referring to the 2 little seals under rear main cap. That is a heck of way to come on board. to a new web-site.... An all to common mistake that one only makes once. Wished there was better news, but unfotunatley there is only one way to fix it. Good luck...............

I just went through the same thing. Pulled the engine to replace the rear main seal because the builder forgot the two rubber bearing cap washers.
I used a little orange RTV silicone under and on top of the pan gasket and after putting the pan back on, ran a good bead all around the whole pan seam. You might try tightening all the pan bolts before you yank it out. We all feel your pain.
