I am considering buying a 67 Nova 327 4spd project with a block I have never seen before. The casting number is 3959533 and the pad is stamped CE9A28459. It was cast in Jan 69 and has the cutout and raised oil filter housing , relocated clutch pivot boss and the correct Nova oil pan. It obviously is a factory replacement Nova block but I have never seen that casting before and it is not in Mortecs listings. I have a CE 283 block in my 58 Corvette that has a close casting number of 3959532 which was also not in anyones listing when I first got the car but it is now in Mortecs listing as a facory replacement block. It also was cast in 69. Has anyone else seen these CE replacement blocks?:scratch

Cecil: The engine in my Chevy, now is a CEA- numbered short block. I bought it after my 327-300H.P. died. In my case my part # was 3966921 1969-70 350-370H.P. LT-1. I have an old Motion Perf. catalog somewhere. I'll see if your number is in there. Skip:)

CODE CE was used from 1968 to current year. It represents any CID and is used to indicate a Warranty Engine.
