Well let me see if I can figure this thing out. Robert, the first time I clicked on the link in your post it showed me the map of my location. I thought what in the world is this about. Then I tried Dicks and it showed me his location. Then I tried yours again and it showed me yours. I just hope I can get my post to show mine? Dan

Not sure if this will work or not. Thanks to JimKwi for his help. Larger dark lake in center of pic. on Hwy 34 is me. Property from lake to highway. Little white dot is shop bldg., house is hidden in the little grove of trees. When summertime, 1 day of week - drag racing....... 6 days of week- mow grass. Dont make the same mistake. When you retire,,, buy a house with a itty-bitty yard. http://maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTExNmIycG51BF9TAzI3MTYxNDkEc2VjA2ZwLWJ1 dHRvbgRzbGsDbGluaw--#mvt=h&trf=0&lon=-95.941222&lat=33.436885&mag=3

In the upper left corner of the yahoo page is a box with lines for two addresses. Put your town, state and zip in the top one. If you want to get real close put your street address in front of the state. Click the "Go" button.

Ross, On our way home to Washington from PA with the 61' we stopped in Navada, Iowa where my cousin lives. I cruised up and down the streets in town and there are a lot of old cars in that town. I saw 2-61 Impalas and a 63' parked on the street in front of homes.:brow

Hey Dan,
I know the two 61s you're talking about. On the east edge of town on the south side of the road. A turquoise 61 Impala 2dr ht and a green 4dr. I believe the hardtop has a small block. You must have been on the old Lincoln highway. When I was still in college I would go that way when I would go home. Its fun to cruise through those little towns. You never know what you might see!

Ross:
I agree completely!!! We were on our way to the Wichita swap meet many years ago. Passed thru Tonawanda, right south of where you went to school. I try to take the side streets going thru towns. Saw the backend of a 58 sticking out of a garage. Slammed on the brakes and went up to the door. Asked the lady if I could look the car over. She said yes. After doing that, I asked her if it was for sale. No, they were going to restore it besides a body shop had already offered her a "lot " of money for the car. I asked how much and she said $3500. I said that was fine and handed her a business card and said to call me if they needed restoration parts for the car.
About 2 years later, she called and asked if I was interested in buying the car. I asked what she wanted and she said $1500. I asked if the car was exactly as I saw it last. Yes, except her son had taken the radio out. I asked where it was and she said it was in the back seat. I said I would be down the next day to pick the car up.
It was a Los Angeles built 58 BelAir 2-door sedan...the body was absolutely rust-free!!! 283 with Powerglide and 1 piece bumpers!! Oh, the radio????? It was a Wonderbar!!!!:rofl :rofl :rofl
As Doug Marion says..."It's the art of the find"!!!! You just never know where a jewel might show up....
