Well thank you Ronnie for the warm welcome, just don't tell my wife about the reputation part! I've actually been a visitor to the site for awhile but just recently became a member. I'll be more then happy to chime in. Again, thanks for the welcome.

Ronnie, its not just your equipment, the pic is 7 years old and not the best quality but I have always loved the way the picture turned out. The car is long gone, sold back in 2000 and I'm told its in Texas now. It was a 409/409 4speed clone that I found in Toledo. I had to sell it to finish another bubble I was working on. This is one I wish I still had.

Jim, thanks for the invite, its been a few years since I've been to the Blue suede but I think I'll go this year, its only an hour drive for me. I won't be bringing the red bubble but maybe I'll break my white one out of mothballs. More then likely I'll be driving the new 58 Biscayne this summer. Is there anything special I need to do to make a pass @ norwalk?

Boris:

Are you the fellow from Medina, OH? I think we may have communicated in the past, perhaps through Ebay?

I grew up in the SW suburbs of Cleveland (Parma, OH). My wife might dispute that part about "growing up".

Best,
TomK

Tom, actually I'm from the east side burbs of Cleveland and I have a shop in Euclid, we may have spoke through ebay though, I've met hundreds if not thousands of nice folks through my dealings on ebay. I don't think I've let one 58-64 biscayne or belair sneak by in the last 7 years without atleast throwing in a bid.

Count me in, sounds like a blast. If the 58 makes it back from power tour in one piece I'd love to make a pass and see what it will run.

The Blue Suede Cruise at Norwalk is a great place to make a few passes. Last time they didn't do tech inspections. I guess it's because it's not really a race, and most of the cars just want to run up the track a time or two, they don't bother. There's a ton of cool cars there and they bring in a few exibition cars. Last time they had some jet cars and Wild Willy's Winged Express.

Hey Boris,
welcome.
This is Todd from Minneapolis MN.
You bought my red 62 bubble top.
Long time no talk. Glad to see you here.
I have been meaning to ask, how did you end up with Chicayne being auctioned by you on Ebay?
I Have run into a lot of great cars at back to the 50's that were once owned by you as well.
keep us informed on what's going on with you and your cars.
A few would pics of some of your stuff now and then would be a real crowd pleaser here too.
:cheers

Hey Todd, how have you been? I'm sorry to say I sold your old bubbletop in a moment of weakness. It now belongs to a nice fella from Florida named Ron. I personally have not seen it since it was finished but several friends admired it at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run and said it is one of the nicest bubbletops they had seen. He completely blew the car apart for paint and it now has a 572.
I wish I could have made it to Back to the 50's last year, I plan on being there this year for sure. I've been working on a 58 Biscayne since august and that will be my summer daily driver and hopefully will have it at Back to the 50's. I've also been working on 2 61 Parkwoods that are almost done but as of last week one is no longer mine, I sold it to a guy from MO. Other then that I have a 69 biscayne 427 that is almost done and a 55 Chevy, once I'm caught up I'd like to do another 62 bubbletop. Do you still have that beautiful Chevelle? That car was very impressive and if it ever goes up for sale please let me be one of the first to know.
Chicayne is not mine, I only wish. I posted it on Ebay for the owner, he said that if he sold it, the next project would be a 62 Bel Air Bubble top, you can imagine how over the top that would be so I was more then happy to list the car on his behalf. The car didn't sell, though there was several serious offers after the auction but so far it has not sold. Take care and keep and touch.
Boris
