1110948 Distributor question

My 61 has the 1110948 distributor which appears to be the original one and it is unmolested(even the dimple is in the correct place:D )
I should rebuild it but before I start does anyone know of a way to remove the factory lead seal on the roll pin and be able to replace it.

Here's what I did. I put the dist in a vice...carefully...and used a cutter wheel on a die-grinder to grind off one of the the flared out ends off that pin, and drove it out with a near-same-sized punch. Then I replaced the gear and simply put the pin back in. In my case, I had absolutely no probs with it. Now... in later years, after grinding the end off, I used a new steel roll pin and there again, no probs. You should be carefull in doing this, and others may give you varied advice, but it worked for me. I hope this helps you.:cool:
