I just recieved an emil from Tommy (Hrlykngt) about a tornado he and his brother were caught in.
I believe they are extremely lucky to be alive.
I hope he doesn`t mind but I`m posting his email.
Thoughts are with you both,,dq
Im alive and kicken was a helluva ride, wouldnt wanna do it again.
Brothers Tommy and William Smith , employees of Associated Mechanical Contractors of Montgomery, And residents of the Sandy Ridge community, were headed home yesterday in their 1 ton company worktruck. After passing the Davenport community they ran head on into the oncoming tornado blocking hwy 31, they turned around in an attempt to get away but were quickly overtaken by the tornado. They were then tossed down one side of hwy 31 hitting a tree, circled around in the storm flipping and rolling numerous times, came back up the other side of 31 took out 2 telephone poles and a fence and were finally deposited in a ditch in waist deep water in a field about 500 yards from the place where they were picked up. Tommy was transported to Jackson Hospital and later released, he is suffering shoulder damage and cuts and bruising. William sufffers cuts and bruising with no other apparent injury, both are sore and recovering today.
