That sounds like a great deal.......... does your convert come with a can of bondo or maybe a box of welding rods??????
Seriously Phil what a car like this worth if the rust is not bad........ The guy wants $6000 for it but that seems a little high....... I'm thinking 3 - 4000

IMO........it would have to be pretty nice for $6K. I'm more in line with you.......somewhere in the $2500-$3500 range. With that car...the first thing you would is trash the drive train in favor of a V8. Would make a neat 409 conversion car tho!!!!

That's what I am thinking....... I have a complete std bore '64 340 HP .. and I have some 690's........
But I'll see what the car is like today.......... Thanks for your input.

pricing varies greatly from region to region. In SoCal I would say a typical high mileage speciman would be worth in the $2500-3500 range. A true 50K orig might bring $6K-$7K. Not a lot of demand on post cars though. But as the most sought after models, SS, converts, continue to soar the lessor models do start to gain in popularity. If you like it, buy it!

I have no good input on the value of the cars, But the post cars are SEXY:love . I dont know why, but they are cool.
By the way, Did ya look at it today? Do ya have a new member in the family?

Yes I did go look at the '63 today....... His Grandfather bought it new....... decent car........ the lower pass side will need the rust fixed, the rocker looks good but the bottom of the front fender is rusted through as well as the rear quarter..... a little body damage as well on the lower rear quarter...... other than that it looks pretty good....... not even any rust under thr battery or in the trunk. The floor seems solid from what I could see. The interior is all there but the sun has got the seats, I think if you jumped on them the fabric would explode........ He didn't say for sure what he would take but he said he's not willing to move very much on his asking price. I'm stuck on that $3 - 4000 price range & he's looking for $6000......... He's had it for sale for a month and I'm only the second call he's had so I'll sit tight for a while & he might realize he's to high....... but if someone really wanted one it might be a great deal......

$6,000 Canadian should be close to $5,000 U.S. smacker.
I'm sure the prices the other members were in U S change. ( Not to far off)

From what I can see in the pic's, that would sell for about $2500 here in Calif. Unless he throws in the Honda wheel in the deal!

I've been rounding the prices to U.S. dollars on this post. The guy wants $7000 Canadian which is about $6000 U.S. right now.......
If it really jumped out at me and said "take me home" I think I might have paid in the $3- $4000 U.S. range for it but I tend to think 58 delivery is probably closer at $2500
