I installed a tilt ididit colum today. It went pretty smooth and so far Im very happy with it. I got the plain steel tilt direct fit colum for 61-62. Only one small issue with the instructions. I had to loosen it back up to reclock it correctly. I used the 3/4-16, 3/4-16 universal joint to connect to the stock shaft. Every thing went just like it was supposed to. Good job ididit.:clap

I agree with that. It does make it easier. The colum I had was constant trouble. It was a 63 colum It was wore out. Just had my 2cd blinker switch go bad in nov. replaced the upper bearing about a year ago. Still felt sloppy. It feels so much better. Havent drove it but around the block, but it feels nice. The is no slop or play. Its great. Not to mention all my brake lights and blinkers work again. And most of all I have a horn again. I was so excited I called my wife and honked it for her. (she was pretty excited to.:scratch ) It was a good day out in the garage.

I had to clock the colum a little different than the instructions because of the horn. Its 69 and newer horn switch.. You take out the spring horn switch in the wheel, and thats where the new horn switch sticks thru the steering wheel. Then I had to cut the horn wires on the wheel and connect them to the new single wire horn switch. Hope I expained that so it makes sense.

Had the car out for the first time today. Getting in around the doorbars is ALOT easier with the tilt. Driving you can put it where yo want. I like it. So far I have zero complaints. It was every dollar!!!!
