Well,
if any truck guy is reading and happens to know where i could find the black and red houndstooth fabric that was standard in chevy trucks, i would appreciate the info.

What year ? Most truck interiors for 49-72 are being reproduced.

I have 2 big trucks. One a '57 low cab forward and the other a '59
2 1/2 ton. I believe the interior fabric is same as pick-ups. You said
in your post reply that reproductions are available. However I can't find
these source's. Can you provide some names of the vendors.
thanks

Classic Industries, Brothers Truck Parts, H&H, Year One to name a few. Get a copy of Hemmings Motor News or just look on the internet.
As I recall the standard interior was plain vinyl. The cloth upholstery was primarily on the Cameo and Custom Cab models. I have a set of Cameo seat upholstery that I was going to use in my 58 Apache. I believe the Cameo cloth insert is the same cloth as the 54 Chevy Bel Air.

Cecil, Geary,
Thanks for your interest.
Wish i could follow-up on what i started...
but i'm working in Argentina and that's a long... long... way from home and from that book in the garage... I can only remember the catalog (some 8years old) is half inch tk. and is from a major. I'll get back to you when back home. Meanwhile thanks for the link on Brother's. I'll be checking their site, just now. The others don't have or, don't know what i am talking about.
