Here's one to watch out for! Something I've caught in the past but slipped past me this time! When using ARP studs on the mains watch for contact between the oil pump housing and the rear main stud nut. A little material must be ground from the pump body at this point. I missed this on my assembly and paid the price. Upon pre lube attempt, Engine would show no oil pressure and would not pump to the lifter gallerys, so no oil would come out of the pushrods. Contact with the main stud nut was holding the pump from sealing on the machined surface of the block allowing the pressure to escape back into the pan. How could I miss this? :cuss
