Don, that was late 1956. I suppose they were going to restyle the Cameo for 1958, but ended up keeping the sides from 1957 until the Fleetside arrived in 1959.

:yuck Reminds me of an AMC something or other. I see it's on a revolving platform so I guess that explains why the left is different from the right. Hey there's a new design, make a vehicle different from the right side to the left! I'm shocked they haven't tried that especially in today's screwed up world! (transgender car?)

Actually in clay many design excercises were done left and right once the general shape of the shell was accepted. The designers then had two clays to try front/rear changes.

One of the sections on 'Wrench's 409 Site' old website was an area devoted to design and prototype photos.

I still have the last site backup somewhere on a disk. I may dig it up when I am well again.
