Clearance for the taller distributor should be ok. So the adaptor makes a regular sbc-bbc distributor taller?Does this mean all aftermarket units are tall? Thx

I need a complete aftermarket unit as I don't have a stock distributor to put the petronix kit in. Dont want any cheap units either, not the best of luck with the inexpensive stuff. The msd sure is spendy with pertronix coming in second. Any other notable small cap options out there to consider...

I found the holley snipers re-learned quicker than the FiTech going from 1700 feet at home to the track at 4500. Not a "dub" but ya.

I know small blocks and 409's have a differant bolt pattern for these brackets but what is the differance other then that. Looks like these could possibly be drilled or slotted for a 409? Save 50-60 bucks too...

Hi Guys, need to find some parts for the 409 build and wanted you guys to verify what I need. Have the buily 409 of coarse, a showcars aluminum water pump and a sbc style 6-1/4" balancer with an overall depth of 2-1/3" . Hope I didn't forget anything? I figure I need a pre 68 sbc waterpump...

As per some forum readers request's here's an update on the 409 rod build. Lot'sa fun being had for sure... I Liked the bomber seat idea but also needed a full harness for track duty. Went with a set of kirkey pro drag seats. To get closer to the look I wanted I cut 6 inches off the area...
