i was wondering what boot would be correct to use in a 61 that has a bench seat with a 4spd. I have the original shifter out and ham using a hurst with the correct handle and what not. I need a boot with whatever type or rentention ring to be correct or close, it's not a numbers car.

i just got in a 64SS today, sbc car that had the powerglide replaced with a th350 and it has a long tail on it, so yes the longer trans will work...if you need a driveshaft.....the car is getting parted out, the rustiest car i have ever seen.
yeah, i was looking at specs and the chevvyII fronts are about an inch longer than the camaros and i firgured i could make an extension like the ones you could by at the parts house, but i haven't seen these in quite a while
i am looking for drag shocks for my 61. Comp engineering doesn't list a application for our year cars. i haven't pulled out the stocks shocks yet to measure and see if i can modify another to fit. Anyone already crossed this bridge? i posted this in the motor forum too, sorry if you read it...

w head, what type of valves are these, special order or a valve from some application made to fit...are they longer than stock to accomodate a healthy lift cam?
yes you can put new lifters on an old cam. it will need to broken in like new can though, a couple thousand rpm for 20 or 30 min or so just to insure oil to the lifter. any time a new or used can is used in a different block than origianl, new lifters will need to be installed, never install...
Is there something different out this trans or are all early t-10s like this, I am in need of a driveshaft yoke for this trans and can't find a mte laying around the shop...
tom, i know the early t-10s have a different spline(coarse) as your 350(fine spline), I think the length is the same, but not 100% on that. If you are using a Muncie, the spline is the same as well as the length, and the shaft will work as is.
