Show cars sells a adjustable lower rod if that helps? I had a similar problem and after I put in the new lower rod I was able to adjust it to work. Other places like summit probably have them also.

I got mine from Summit probably over a year ago just wish it was higher off the ground so cherry picker legs would fit under it but just changing the wheels would take care of that

Not all 65's came with 12 bolts as some of the low horse cars got 3 link 10 bolts and I have owned a handful of them with 10 bolts and about 50 of the 65's through the years as I parted alot of them out when I was younger and foolish

Depends on your intentions with your car, I have a factory 65 12 bolt posi with 3.07 gears in my 65 409 rag with a m20 muncie works great but I don't race it around and only thing done to my rear has been a oil change.

What is the advantage of using a BBC windage tray vs a original w engine unit? If it's because you can't find one Show Cars automotive has an exact copy for like 35$ without the studs of course
