Thanks for the feedback, Bob. I've heard of the Inland Empire products; seems that folks give them high marks. I have a lot of 9 inch components (Strange case, Gleason posi, etc) but I'm slightly unsettled about putting Ford parts in a Chevy... :confused I'm pretty sure if I just cruise around...

These pix are at the seller's location. http://www.dansoldcars.net/ Dan's Old Cars in Parkers Prarie MN. He has a TON of cool old iron. Lots of 58-64 Chevies, including some convertibles. Helluva nice guy, too!

My son has a friend somewhere in central FL. Where are you located? I'll see if Danny would help me out. Thanks!

Dang, that IS pricey!! Caps are prolly 20 bucks apiece at that rate! After having lived through the late 70's I'm not optimistic that this kind of inflation ever goes away. I'll pay for whatever it costs to get them to Indiana.

I had a four-door sedan Impala; only one I had ever seen. Usually they're all hardtops, but this was original. I suppose Id put Impala moldings on it before I'd weld up all the holes and make it a Biscayne. I agree, it didn't look bad.

Suds, yudaman!!! That one quarter panel piece will be pretty sporty to fix up, but I'm willing to try. I've had some success with straightening trim in the past; just have to be patient. I'd love to know what you are asking for all six pieces.

I appreciate your interest, Seon! I've always tried to help others connect to parts when I could, you're part of my good karma coming back, hopefully!

I'd take anything short of a rolled-up ball. I'm not going for a Ridler trophy; I'm going to re-create a 70's style street rod that I built back in the day with a hot small block and a four speed. I have a high-end 383 that makes about 650 hp (on 93 octane gas), but I'll stop short of sticking...

Thanks very much, Wristpin! There's a good story behind the 66 442. That very car was mine in high school; I bought it in 71 for the princely sum of 600.00. Sold it in 74 when I went into the service and delivered it to a high school friend who was stationed in Yuma AZ. I did not give it a...

Fuzz, that is a exceptionally clean body, with more dents than a golf ball. I was trying to get some of the dents in the rocker pulled out with studs and a slide hammer, but that was like trying to restyle an anvil. Gonna need a frame machine to pull the crush dent out. Mr Magoo must have...

Fairland is north of me, closer to the city. Nice place though, kinda lowlands with lots of trees. Nobody bothers you out there!

LA, that's a great story on the build for Great Bend! My son and I just sold our asphalt late model and I can definitely relate to the late night thrash!

Thanks, LA! An 11 second Bel Air; that's getting down the track pretty great! I have plans to drop in a 650 hp 383 small block in my 62. Did you have to do many mods to the driveshaft and rear axle? Is it a "three-pedal" car?
