I connected the vacuum hose to the base of the back carb. Is that right?

Dont know if the carbs are working right or not. Other than the vapor/gas/etc coming out of the throttle bearings, we thought that might be a vaccum leak. I am getting a new 1404 Edelbrock to put on it and will report back.

While fooling with the timing on my engine, my mechanic noticed that when the carb "sneezed" vapor/gas/air/ came out the top AND came out around the throttle bushings. Might explain why it will not run. It will idle (sort of) but any advance or attempt to pull air, and it quits. Ever had that...

On an Edelbrock 1405 automatic choke. Does it matter which terminal you connect 12V to? Also, is grounding to the carb case good enough? Commence firing.

I have the Pertronix on my old distributor, it just is not advancing properly, figured it was "woe out". Where can you buy a new stock unit, my local parts guy does not show a 348-409 unit in his books?

After reading the posts from last year on the PROCOMP I am wondering if the quality and tolerances have improved? I am thinking about getting one for my 348 engine. What is your opinion of the ProComp product?

Has a continuation of the coverage of their 62 Bel Air 409 project. This issue they (finally) put two fours on it. Interesting notes on the horse power / torque difference over a single four.
