GM used casting # 3830831 for those 817 heads back in the day, and that new 340 horse intake for 1963 used the Rochester 4 barrel up top...

I should add the bellhousing needs to be for a 4 speed as it will have a larger front bearing retainer than the 3 speed.

If you can find the bellhousing and flywheel from a 8 cylinder truck you should be good if you plan on using the side bellhousing mounts.

Double notched blocks went away after the 333 heads came out in 62. they had a combustion chamber in the head so second notch wasn't needed.
