2013-2016 finished a Rotisserie/Frame Off 1962 Bel Air Bubble Top 409, 4spd, 3:73 Posi. Engine rebuilt with 30 over Ross Pistons, Reworked 690 heads to be able to run Rocker Roller Cam/ Lifters, reworked rods to match, original Carter 2x4 intake and carbs, Sanderson 2-1/2 inch headers and exhaust. Its a factory original White Top 872 on Red body true 973 color combo. It took my friend Barry and I, 3 yrs to finish, and its a beauty. I have the 14x6 wheels painted red with the 1" white walls, and a set of white15" rims and 225 tires also. It runs hard, and last year took it to SRI DRAGS in Kent Wa. to the 1/4 mile function they had, it was a blast running down the strip. There were only 4 of us 409'ers there, and I didn't do well as I hadn't raced before, so getting use to the lights was a bit hard. And spinning my tires most of the way didn't do much for quick times either. This year will be better, as I bought a set of slicks, just want to hear that 409 ROAR.....
