    333 truck head help

I agree with Phil. You might do more harm than good trying to "fix" the bolt holes. Also you said the heads have stainless intake valves and stock exhaust valves. If hardened valve seats have not been installed in the exhausts may want to consider stainless exhaust valves.

I'm Happy - found my dual point distributor & other stuff.

Sheeeeee - don't tell. This wouldn't be something one could do these days but back in 1965 people didn't pay much attention to cars/engines. I wanted to buy a new 1965 Mustang Fastback and drove the then 348 powerglide 62 to the Ford dealer and they gladly took the car in on trade. I still...

I'm Happy - found my dual point distributor & other stuff.

Feeling better after more than two weeks with the flu or cold or both so I continued rummaging in the barn and building shelves for stuff that hasn't seen the light of day for more than 20 years. Been looking for my dual point distributor for quite some time and was beginning to think I got rid...

Chev Bel Air 4 door with 409?

Jason, don't get me started on that puny aluminum case T-10. I have said this before but let me tell you that the aluminum case T-10 that was in the full size 409/409 SS Impala I bought new may have beeen fine for the light weight smaller engine Corvette but was not up to the heavy full size...

    What Headers?

As long as we are looking at 348-409 headers I thought I would post pictures of a set of extra special maybe one of a kind fine set of headers so I went to the storage vault (back barn) and brought them out to show and make everyone envious of my possessing such treasured items. They weigh...

    What Headers?

[QOTE="Rickys61, post: 279247, member: 3320"]I think I have those same ones Clyde... Yes! They look identical. I think the person I bought them off of years ago said they fit 1958? If so, would they also fit newer X frame Chevies?

    What Headers?

Building some shelves in the barn and saw headers I have and thought they looked like the ones in the photos above but turned out mine are defferent. Anyone know what mine fit? Also found 40+ can of spray paint the color of my 62 Impala. Much stuff still to be uncovered - nothing valuable...

    Tach Wiring

Dan, the 6AL Installation Instructions for the 6AL Black wire say "This wire connects to the coil negative (-) terminal. This is the ONLY wire that makes electrical contact with the negative coil terminal. " The 6AL has a Tach output - have you tried using the DIST PRIMARY in your diagram to...
