I find this site informative and interesting, so I'm posting here. My 1964 Impala SS frame is freshly steam cleaned, waiting for sandblasting. I found this interesting stamp. Any ideas? By the way, since I have a bare frame if anyone wants pictures, measurements, etc...I am happy to share.

TH400 from engine to transmission mount is 24-5/16", according to the Interwebz. The new Richmond 5 speed is 18" to the bell housing mount, once you add the 6.3" bell housing depth...practically the same.

I don't want to modify the floor a whole lot in my 64 Automatic car, looks like the Richmond is the best way to do that. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the manual transmission shifter hole in roughly the same place as the 61-63? I want to use this console. s
