    Edelbrock Heads

I've been sort of side tracked lately but this jogged my memory. I see if I can dig out the sheet tomorrow. Fred

    Started on the Bel Air

Dan, congrats on your first test voyage, I guess! That is why I always used to get on everything real hard as soon as I left my driveway. Didn't have so far to walk if something like that broke, ha ha. You'll have to ask Brett about all the burnout marks. I'm glad it it didn't do any other...

    Tuning the dual quad 409

You can do while it is installed but it will be entirely by feel. I don't think you can see much of it with it in the car. The nut that holds in place is 11/32 I think then there is a thin flat washer then the bushing. Probably should have a magnet ready for the dropped parts! Good luck.:D Fred

    DB Electric Starter

Dan, I thought I recognized Brett but it has been several years since I've seen him. We were all a little "younger looking" back then......:D Tell him I said hello. Fred

    DB Electric Starter

Dan, nice job on modifying that QT bellhousing. I see one potential problem though. The only ground for the starter is between the nose and the mounting pad on the block. All those layers of paint don't help that. It would be worth it to clean that area to bare metal now and avoid starter issues...

    Help identify a big block

Naw, I wouldn't worry about any overheating problems just yet. If i was you I would start by locating lots of new rear tires. That thing should destroy a set in nothing flat. (pun intended!):clap Fred

    Little Red Wagon

A firefighter was working on the engine outside the Station, when he noticed a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The girl was wearing a firefighter’s helmet. The wagon was being pulled by...

Just trying to sell some peaches...........

A farmer was selling his peaches door to door. He knocked on a door and a shapely 30-something woman dressed in a very sheer negligee answered the door. He raised his basket to show her the peaches and asked, "Would you like to buy some peaches?" She pulled the top of the negligee to...

    409 Powered 61 Pontiac

These guys make the rest of us, well....... some of us, look like beginners at this stuff. It almost looks like their sole purpose in life is to build this car judging by what they have accomplished in so little time. Excellent work and I hope to see it in person someday! Fred

    1963 427 Chevy Mystery Motor

It would sure be nice to have the rest of the engine to put it on. I think Lamar Walden makes a reproduction set of heads that it will fit on. I guess if you don't have that it would make a really cool door stop. I myself have half of a Brodix aluminum head for that. I guess you could say...

    Edelbrock Heads

Hopefully I will have some numbers soon. :pray Just waiting for my oil pan and then it is off to the header builder. My flow #'s were really similar on the intake side. On the exh side I believe I had quite a bit more. I'll dig out my flow sheet and post my #'s Fred

To bore or not to bore, that is the question.

Bob, If it were me I would probably replace the pistons anyway regardless of weather you bore it or not. I would be willing to bet that the ring lands on them are more than a little loose after 149k of who knows what kind of abuse. :takethat On the plus side, a 350 Chevy engine has got to be...
