    Thats a good price if it is a fresh rebuild with the correct carbs and linkages. Maybe you should get more info on the rebuld. I paid more than that to have mine redone . A 348 tri power allso.John

    No Water Pump

    Hey Russ up here in Canada I sent my pump out to be done a month ago . The auto parts guy told me yesterday that the pump was sent to 3 differant places and ended up back here on the west coast. $100.00 canadian he says. A month that sux. Thanks John:cuss

    Thanks a lot for the help. I didnt do the suck on the cup trick just took your word for it. Now I have to decide how i want to vent and still like the way i did it. Probably oil fill spout with a vented cap. 348 is built and just waiting for the new water pump. again thanks guys John:cheers

    PCV plumbing for a 348 tri power how to plumb it? Road draft tube to base of center carb with a pcv. Is that enough? Thanks John:confused:

    409 Block I.D. ?

    I think that all the 409 blocks are notch free the 348 has the cut outs. John

    The 010 block is a 350 and the[ hc front pad code is a 327 4 brl pg 1966] The rest I dont know. John

    Putting big cams in 348's

    The duration is 218-230 @ .050 and I have steel shim head gaskets. The head gaskets are Fel Pro. Thanks Aubrey. John

    Putting big cams in 348's

    I have a 348 with a crane cam and 525 lift int. and 288 duration. I am using the 333 heads. Is there a problem ? I have good aftermarket springs. Thanks John:confused:

    oil pump pickup

    Does the oil pump sump pickup lay paralel to the bottom of the pan or does the heal hit first and the screened end like on mine point up to the engine. We put the pan on and it pushes the sump on an angle up. John:confused:
