    Valve covers

I’m rocking a couple pair of Weiand covers. One on the motor that I cut for vacuum pump lines, one spare pair in case I decide that was mistake.

    Roller cam ???

If you do run solid rollers on the street, bump idle speed up a bit. Gets more oil flowing. Easier to live with on a stick car than an auto however. When my car was a street car it had needle bearing solid rollers, it eventually ate one. I was also told trying to avoid long idle periods helps...

    transmission advice

Also a TH350 has lower first and second gears....little more oomph accelerating. Robs less power too. TH350 can be built plenty strong for your application.

Hood arrived. So far impressed with the fit. Just setting in place with scoop setting on it.

    Anti-roll Bar

Me before and after. I did upgrade to a full cage between those two photos so that helped stiffen the car a little, but the anti-roll bar alone made 90% of the difference.

    Anti-roll Bar

Yes shocks and instant center. No coil overs. I have Menscer shocks, stock springs, adjustable upper bars, stock boxed lowers. Once I got the car to stop twisting and start planting both rears even, I saw that I was hitting the tires way too hard and crushing them. Air pressure didn’t help, so...

    Which fiberglass company?

I checked VFN for bumpers about a week ago, as Glasstek only offers rear. Shipping to a freight depot was gonna be $400 on top of the $120 crating charge. Seemed steep, I paid less to ship a rear axle.

I ordered the pin on yesterday from Glasstek. Will transfer the scoop from my steel hood.

    Anti-roll Bar

I can't really give you a number that I can relate directly to the bar, but the rear bar took my car from launching in a matter that concerned other racers (twisted up and car all over the place) to level and straight as an arrow. Of course everything works together, but pre-bar it was a 10.20...

Thanks everyone! I'm heavily leaning towards the Glasstek pin on.

    Which fiberglass company?

I do find it interesting that there is a considerable claimed weight difference between the Glasstek and VFN VFN says pin hood 10lbs and bolt on 15lbs Glasstek says 20lbs and 40lbs respectively.

I was actually thinking bolt on. Even glass it would be hard to take off alone as its big. Figured lose springs, but use hinges and prop rod.

    Which fiberglass company?

Lots of great info here, thanks! VFN wanted $400 to ship bumpers, I realize they are big but sheesh! Haven't checked on hood freight yet.

    Which fiberglass company?

Thank you for all the input! Between here and other forums, it appears most people who bought VFN seem happy, but it seems everybody is happy who bought Glasstek. I think I'll go Glasstek, hope it doesn't reject my VFN scoop!:D
