A couple suppliers are selling the above panel which fits between the grill shell and the radiator. One purpose is to change the air flow pattern thru the radiator NOT over the top.
Has anyone used one of these? Does it help the radiator temp ? Seems like a good idea to me.......
I have a 1961 Impala...headlites not very bright.Is there any headlights available that can be used without changing / modifying the wiring ? Are any of the halogen bulbs that use factory wiring? Thank you!
I put the head gasket over the dowel pins in the block[ while heads were off. Then l scribed where the bolts were.
After centerpunching
,I drilled 1/4" holes thru the block.After pulling out the lifters,we checked to be sure the liters were operating correctly.

Thanks for the help! I called Vintage....they said no one had any problems installing ,but try turning unit upside down and rotate fittings upoward into place...didn't work.Instructions said to assemble all fittings and brackets including the firewall cover plateand then install into dash...
Firewall cover plate off.Front mounting bracket off. Have unit a/c-heater lines about 10-11 o'clock position to start thru firewall. #6 a/c tube hits firewall then 3 "knobs" on top hit bottom edge of dash....can't rotate unit to get "tubes" thru firewall.....
Working on 1961 Impala....installing Vintage Air sure-fit a/c ( in-dash). Any "tricks" in getting evaporator unit up behind the dash? With all brackets and lines installed per directions there doesn't seem to be enough room to manipulate the unit into place....Thanks!

I replaced the upper control arm shafts and bushings on my '61 Impala with the Classic shaft and bushing kit with 2* added positive caster built in......just had front end aligned....with old original shafts in place the max caster was 1-1/2* pos. With the new shaft kit we were able to increase...
Has anyone bought / installed the replacement upper control arms from Classic ? They advertise them as having an additional 2 degrees positive caster built in....I just bought and installed a set in my '61 Impala....will have front end aligned on Thurs 11/5.....hope their really is more caster...
