Thanks Paul, I'm going to bead blast my original one and use it. It's actually not that bad, and the wire and bulb socket look good. I thought by buying a new one it would save me some time, guess not. I can use the lens and screws from the new one.
Just found this out myself the hard way. Bought a new one from Cars Inc. and it doesn't fit. Going to blast my old one and paint it gold like Paul said and install the new lens from the repop assembly.
Not exact, but we had that size tire on an 8.5" torque thrust with the same 3.75 backspace on my dad's '61 Impala, and it was very close on both the inside to the exhaust and to the outside. Went to a 235/70 and have a little more room now.

Looks like they do not install the window sweeps, unless you buy their new ones.
Same here, was also able to find Roman Red. Also scanned the original paint on the car and sampled that vs. the PPG Roman Red. Was very close and we ended up going with the new PPG paint code Roman Red.
I think it will fit. I've seen another car on the internet with this shifter with a bench. This is a Long vertigate on a doug nash 5 spd. This is further back than a muncie.
What size tires are you running ? I had my 9" narrowed a total of 1" (1/2 each side) and ordered 15x8 steel wheels with 4" back space. I intend to run 29x8 Radir pie cruse slicks. I've been waiting for these wheels over 2 1/2 yrs now from wheel vintiques.
Thanks, I was just curious. I put one of the new Richmond 5 spds with overdrive in my Nova last yr and so far it's been fine. I have a doug nash with the same gearing as your previous Richmond that I'm going to put in my '62 for the time being. I found a crossmember made for a 700r4 I believe...
The new pans have holes spaced for a '63-'64 seat, and don't have the seat braces that a '61 or '62 has, those have to be re-used or sourced from another car.
At least everything is there. I bought mine with no front clip and no interior, and had a hell of a time finding everything, especially the bel air back seat and the interior garnish trim, which I lucked out on. The trim is there as well, that's $2500-3000 these days.
