Here's a scan that came to me from somewhere that I can't recall ... I'm looking for any information on this publication and photos of similar cars and tracks.

Dyno Don's aluminum nose Impala was a cream-like color. Hubert Platt ran it as a match race car after the NHRA Nationals, as far as I can determine into early 1963. There are pictures of the car doing both out there. The Zintmaster car was at the '62 NHRA Nationals as far as I know but I...
Vintage 409 stuff
Hi Bob,
Good to see you here too. How are you? Still have the Pontiacs ... did you learn any more on their histories? Glad you like the thread ... alot of other fellows have helped make it good too. Here's a shot of the Buzzard2 engine as raced in 1962. I'm trying to...
Buzzard 1962 409
I'd like to see this thread come alive again ... let's see some more vintage W-motor drag racing pictures if anyone has them.
Here's one of the hot 409 of northern NJ from back in 1962. Bruce Bazaz owned, Benny Richardson driven Buzzard 2 from Bergenfield, NJ. The car still...
Tedesco Z-11
Offhand I don't recall who's car the Tedesco Z-11 was originaly ... but I've seen pictures of it before. Wally Bell should know. Just a guess but would it be Malcolm Durham-Jerry Hotchkiss to Tedesco?

Vintage W-motor drag cars
Exactly Jody ... let's keep it to the topic set out at the beginning? Vintage W-motor drag racing pictures ... if not then forget the whole thing. There has to be more out there on these cars.

Thomson, OH
Thanks ... what type of race format will the "409" cars be running? I'd love to see some sort of heads-up races, maybe with a flagman too ... like it was done back in '62.

Kenny Simpson
Here's a scan from the 1963 Five Flags drag Fiesta meet in Pensacola, FL. This is scanned from the event program. It mentions here that Simpson was awaiting his 427 Chevy so maybe he was getting a Z-11 ... but I'd not heard of him having one.

Platt 1962 cars
Hubert may have driven more than four I know of only four. Here's a B&W shot of the car he drove at the NHRA Nationals in '62. This car was a bright yellow.
I'd like to get a good scan of the Lil General shot that you have Jody. The Lil General car was a chestnut-like...
Andalusia 409 & Ken Simpson
Hi Harley Knight,
I've had copies of your scans in my files for a long time now and was thinking of posting them here but they aren't my pictures and I didn't know who to give credit to. Glad to hear from you!
Can you give us or me(racenart@optonline.net) any more...
