    Headers

Thanks, really do appreciate comments. I'm still learning every day and good thing I enjoy doing this; it's pushed me. Now, time to think about cuttin' up some headers.

    Headers

Thanks for replies guys, like I said I was fishing. There are some very good options for W block headers for racing; just not much available to us street/custom guys who like 'purdy & shiny' things. I have seen some nice custom built headers-maybe time to test my skills.

Here's what I had to build a car from.

    Headers

Don is correct-434 going into a custom build of a 1957 Pontiac convertible. Frame width under the hood is more narrow than tri-5 Chevys which is why I had to go with block huggers. And, I agree Don, my best bet will probably be to build my own. I was just fishing to see if someone might have...

    Headers

Good question-street car, no racing. Just not 100% sold on the looks of these and have some clearance issues with steering on left side. Would help if they dumped a little more to the rear than middle. I know I could build my own. Just wondering if there may be something out there I haven't...

    Headers

What are the options available these days for headers? I bought these stainless block huggers a while back. I removed the webs between the ports. Anyone have any experience with these?

    My Crankcase Ventilation Question

Guys I really like all the replies and info-thanks. My new plan: I'm going to use the 327 fill tube shown below with a twist-on (non-vented) cap, then screw PCV into that and run line from PCV to front carb base vacuum port. Then I plan to use the hole in rear of the intake as vent for air to...

    My Crankcase Ventilation Question

Thanks, guys. That is considerably more baffle than mine has as you can see mine below. I was really hoping to put the PCV behind the carburetor to this hole in top of intake to keep things looking cleaner. Maybe if I can put a roll of steel wool or figure out some additional baffling coming...

    My Crankcase Ventilation Question

There's many threads covering this topic and I think I have read them all. Seems there's just as many versions of how to accomplish so I just wanted to ask to be certain. My 434 will be running a single four Edelbrock intake with vented oil filler cap and Holley 770. I riveted the baffle to...

Getting ready to start my motor, primer needed.

So, ARP's priming tool for small/big blocks will not work to get the oil all the way up-right?

333 heads, rotator deletes or ?

It's beginning to resemble a car again. That's saying something when you consider once body was removed from the frame and all the rust was cut out, all I had left to work with was about 2/3rds of a cowl, two outer quarter panels and a deck lid. New (or new to the car) metal includes a...

    235 Six Trouble-Help

My dad needs help with his 235 six. Car starts and idles well but when he gives it gas it backfires and runs rough. He adjusted timing but now idles rough but then smooths out when you give it gas. He pulled the front cover to see if timing could be off but timing marks are aligned. Any...

    Will these headers leak?

Yep, it's made the circuit this year. I first saw it at Goodguys, then NSRA Nats, and lastly Shades. I never got tired of looking at it.

    Will these headers leak?

And, yes, these were two of the most gorgeous engines I have ever had the pleasure to gawk at and drool over. Nice work guys, very inspiring.
