327 engine
Two 327 engines for the ‘68 Caprice....327/250 and 327/275.
The 1968 L73 327/250 with a lower 8.75:1 c.r. for regular gas was a different engine than the earlier 327/250 engines.
The early 1957 265 was painted an ugly chartreuse then later painted Chevrolet Orange like the 283 engines. In addition the 2-bbl carb 283 was only available with a Powerglide or Turboglide.

The 1965 Coronet was also available with 426 engines.
426 @ 365 horsepower sreet engine and 426 Hemi @ 425 horsepower.

The Deluxe Heater/Defroster became standard equipment the 1962 model year. The heater/defroster could be deleted as an option. The heater/defroster delete option for the 1963 Chevy was RPO C48.

This Chevrolet printed document is proof the 1960 model year Chevrolet with the RPO 571 FH suffix code 348 was rated at 335 horsepower and not rated at 350 horsepower until the 1961 model year:

Late 1962, 1963 and 1964....same 925 and 926 exhaust manifolds on solid lifter 409s.
