    radiator flush?

Just wondering if someone could recommend a good radiator flush, to get some rust and oil deposits out of an very old radiator. Without having to take the radiator off and having it "boiled and rodded". I've heard in the old days that kerosene or alcohol was used as an early antifreeze. I'm...

    Another corvette rebody it's a 57 no, 59....

Here's yet another godawful (in my opinion) Corvette C something rebody. This time it's a 57 front with a 59 batwing rearend (with '58 side trim?). This one is from an outfit called N2A Motors, can be yours for only $135,000. Ouch, maybe I'll pass. Atleast it's being made from fiberglass and not...

    Dupont Imron

Any new name brand single stage acrylic urethane enamel is good, and can be topcoated with a urethane clear for higher gloss/durability. Though straight single stage is easy to "spot in" if you have an accidente. Saw a black deuce once, it was painted in dupont centari and it was pretty damn...

    gas price

Just wondering how high the gas prices will go before people wake up and stop driving uneconomical gas fueled cars on a daily basis. So far all I've heard is a bunch of b!tch'n and nobody doing a dang thing about it, times are changing if you like it or not. This fuel isn't going to be around...

    #3732811 block with 333 heads?

Just wondering if it's possible to mill/drill the deck of the '58 #3732811 348 block for use with later 348/409 heads. I thought that I could use the later head gasket as a guide and modify the block to use some decent heads. Any try this? :dunno

    gas price

E85 is it, $2 a gal near me. The price is somewhat uneffected by +/- oil prices. Not much of a conversion really with the old cars just keep an eye on your hoses, advance the timing a few degrees, and richen your main jets alittle. You'll get slightly less mpg than regular but, it's cheap...

    "El Trucko"

Ya, I'm going to stop by again on the way out to KS and see if I can't cut a deal on that engine (can probably be had for $100-). What blow-by that's just engine protection, valve cover tops need lubrication too! :rofl And I'm sure that the oils been changed every 3000 miles. No good on the...

    Motorcycles

At the end of the day it comes down to riding the junk out of what you have and having fun, what it says on the tank is not always important. It seems people have gotten that backwards lately. I've ridden a few Harleys and they're fine bikes. You have to understand that I'm probably not in the...

    Motorcycles

No Harleys yet but, I've had several bikes over the years from a 1937 BSA M20 flathead single military bike (from Burma no less) to my most recent bike a 2000 Moto Guzzi V-11 Sport an Italian "Harley" some say. I've ridden alot of classic bikes, and modern bikes (single, twins and fours), my...

    "El Trucko"

That's kinda what I thought this thing was maybe a funeral flower car (that's until I got close to it!) , like I've seen some vintage Cadillacs and Packards turned into. But this was no coachbuilt car, more like barn-built....:rofl

    "El Trucko"

Hmm, yeah maybe a 3 piece rear glass with a sliding center section.... You can see the thought was there but, the design was just never fully realized. I could see it working out ok. Stock looking "custom" cars that the factory never made are always cool. Makes you take a 2nd look. :scratch

    "El Trucko"

Yeah, you're right the tops of the fender are rusted though. There are some good body/trim parts to be had. I would like to buy the whole car but, I really don't have the space. As far as I know it was driven up until a few years ago. The motor still turns over, so that's a good sign. The same...

    "El Trucko"

This weekend while scouting for W engine parts I came across this er.... vehicle, it seems no car is sacred when you need to haul something on the farm! I like to call this one "El Trucko" :rofl Well on the good side atleast it's not an Impala, and I may be able to salvage the 348 out of it...

    3.76 crank in a 409

Just a note: The lot of new cranks Eagle tried to have machined for our application were machined wrong so those probably won't even be availible till mid/late 07! :doh

    3X2 modifications

Speedway is a very good source, though I think they're getting some of their vintage carb stuff from Vintage Speed in FL. I'd love to modify their 3x2 sbc injection setup for use on my 348 at some point :bow Pics of the powdercoat, and did you go with polyester or epoxy powder?
