I have a stock dual quad setup with the rear carb being Carter AFB 3804-s. Here is what is on the back of the packaging:

Finally got the transmission kickdown cable adapter to hook up the 700r4 to the Carter AFB. BUT it doesn't seem to fit. What did I do wrong? Here is an illustration of the issue:

Thanks Jeff. I am waiting for the carb adapter and will do that task as soon as it arrives. Chip, that's a good point regarding the "convenience" of moving it out with minimal hassle. That is definitely worth something.

Nice bracket. Simple is almost always best. I'm still thinking the bracket from my 348 is going to work, after cutting out an opening so that it will fit over part of the manifold casting that sticks up right there.

I took the bracket from the 348 and cleaned it up. It bolts to the block right next to the distributor. I haven't put it on yet (that task was slated for later today) but it looks like it should work. Making this all up as I go.

It was a th350 transmission, but if that is the case, I guess someone will be getting a good deal, cause I'm near the finish line with the 409, and I'm not putting the 348 back in now.
