    Gas on the rise again?

I should keep my mouth shut but I'll spit it out anyway. When Bush was in office our gas prices went to $4.00 a gallon. I'm not a Obama fan but I like cheap gas prices. Now Trump is in office I'm worried were going right back to $4.00 a gallon gas. Time will tell and I hope I'm wrong. High gas...

    1937 desoto transmission w/overdrive question

just talking with some old time car guys and they said it was like a $30 up charge over the standard 3 speed so a lot of people didn't bother. $30 was a lot of money back then.

    4 Speed t10 value

Sounds to me like the owner doesn't want to sell it. However, if it completes your car and it is/was the original transmission then maybe you need to buy it. I think the guy selling it knows that you need it and priced it accordingly. If your car is 100% original and you need it to be 100%...

Phil, you back into Oak Island again?

I like the Oak Island TV show but does anyone really think they'll ever find anything? I for one believe that if anyone ever buried a lot of gold or anything of great value I'm sure they wouldn't forget where they buried it. The flat rock with symbols on it that was discovered and lost again...

348 FH and 817's Back From Builder

Kevin is right on! Static compression versus dynamic compression. Dynamic compression is all in your cam profile. So even if your pistons were 12 to 1 static compression your dynamic compression could be 10 to 1 if you ordered the right cam. (just a thought) Personally I would just finish...

    New blower intake?

I think both intakes are about the same price. (maybe $100 difference) If that top one is a bolt on to a 2x4 intake than there's no question on which one to buy. My vote would be the McQuillian intake. Even if the McQuillian intake was $1750 or $1850, I would still pick the McQuillian intake...

So what's the latest value on 409 exhaust manifolds?

I'll be looking for a good deal on a blower manifold for a 409 if anyone see's one. I figure at some point I can always bite the bullet and spend $1500. (I really don't want to spend that much)

So what's the latest value on 409 exhaust manifolds?

I don't know why ebay wants $40 to sell your manifolds. That sounds ridiculous!!!!! Maybe they changed lately, I figured you be out less than $10 so not a life changer and I thought I would send you a donation to cover it. I throw $20 your way anyway since I'll be using this site heavily for the...

Blown 409 build. Lets throw some ideas around.

Can the McQuillen Blower intake manifold be used with a 8-71?

So what's the latest value on 409 exhaust manifolds?

You can always sell to the high bidder after the auction is over so if you like the $1832 bid (or whatever) you could let them go anyway.
