1963 409 SS.??

I just bought 63 409 car.My question is did they ever not come with a tach.has ballast, turned dash,turned taillight panel, 409 embelms.no holes in dash or wear marks.car is rough but savable.

The 340 horse 409 didn't get a tach when equipped with the Powerglide transmission.

The wreck put a

little ding the the finish panel, but the ol'Chevy was pretty tough.Any help with the data plate would be appreciated. Thanks,Shawn.p.s.got a two hardtop 63 parts car too!

So I'm having a ajuster look at the 63 tomorrow and is probably going to total it. Thinking the car is worthless,and I will prove him wrong.What do you think it's worth?409 powerglide.no engine. Trans or int.

Why even have an adjuster look at it? It's probably gonna be some 20 year old yuppy that is gonna think your a nut case when he see's it. (not everyone has their priorities right like us guys)

One thing I learned while doing my 63. They can look real nice on the outside but when you do a full restore, you have to replace a panel whether it has a 4 inch hole or a 12 in one. I replaced most of my car when I did mine. Look thru my build thread for inspiration. (warning: it contains graphic content of a 63 getting cut all the hell!)
