Can someone help with a steering wheel measurement?

This is an easy one. I'm trying to find the distance from the face of the wheel to the edge of the dash on a stock steering wheel and steering column for a 61 or 62. Measured like in the pic.

Mine is 7" to wheels centerline, with Impala padded dash insert, in 62 Belair .
