Was just curious ,but Shirley Muldowney's best time was 4.97 @ 284 mph, quite a difference.

NHRA's top two nitro classes, T/F, and F/C, was shortened to 1000 ft. in about 2008, after Scott Kalitta's death. All other classes remain at the full quarter mile, 1320 ft.

Was rooting for Brittany Force. She made a great go at it. But Leah's car was just flying all weekend. Good win for her and her crew

So Dave , you are saying it is shorter now???? So i guess that is not a fair comparison now.....Any body know how to calculate then the time Leah would have turned if it was the same length as when Shirley ran?????
