I only know of him, never met him.
To set my story straight, I was racing at KCIR at their Cowtown Nostalgie Drags. Don was there with one of the Swamp Rats and I had brought a enlarged photo of Don and myself that was taken at Denver Mile High Drag when he was the grand marshall, so I walked over to his pits to see if I could get Don to autograph my picture. Well there was a large semi circle around his pits watching and waiting for Don to fire the car, Don was short handed so he looks out in the crowd and points to me to come give a hand, so yes I crewed for Don and that is my story and I'm sticking to it.

I have an autographed page from a conference where Tim Berners-Lee was the keynote speaker. Tim was THE pioneer in the early days of the WWW.

That’s really cool knowing THE pioneer of the Wide White Wall.
