Vapo-Rub. Oh WOW Man.
I've heard that's a really nasty smell. I'm a big believer in Vicks when I get a cold. Up the nose, on the chest, and on the throat. Works for me.
Yah , it work's.... Knocks out a cold a lot quicker.
Always thought it might work for another purpose tried to talk all my buddies into it first, no luck, anybody???
If you mean hemorrhoids yes it works.....let me know about the other.

Most effective for a bad cold etc is a tablespoon dropped in a bowl of hot water and cover your head and the bowl with a towel and breath in the vapours. A minute a time is about it though.

Last time, I just got mask with filters.
It is hard for me to believe when I am told you get use to that smell 
if you see flies on the inside of the windows of a house, don't go in if you don't have to. i have seen young officers puke at a scene.
one of my ex wives told me to strip in the garage and place my suite in a plastic garbage bag. i would love to have a picture of the

Something that would work for lubricating a dry area nuf said.
